Rams discus thrower on the podium at championships

Congratulations to discus thrower of the 小猪视频 Rams track and field team. He鈥檚 the first CIU athlete to medal in a throwing event. It happened at the 2022 NAIA Outdoor Track and听Field Championships held in Alabama in May where he took the second-place spot on the podium after hitting a mark of 51.01 meters.
Leith, who is from Jamaica, also competed in the men's shot put, where he narrowly missed the finals with a throw of 16.40 meters. With his performance in the discus, Leith becomes an NAIA Outdoor Track & Field All-American. He also achieved All-American status during the indoor season.听
Track and field Head Coach听says Leith overcame a lot of tough competition in the discus, and said the whole team is 鈥渓ooking forward to the break and coming back next year stronger and prepared."
